Welcome to Grant Aitken Motorsport.

For more years than I care to remember I have been actively competing at National and International level in both Circuit and Rally competition. I have competed in Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, China and New Zealand. My association with Continental Car Services and the late Tim Bailey, created the largest Suzuki dealership at the time in Newmarket.

As a result of this connection with Suzuki product, I met Nobuhiro (Monster) Tajima, and subsequently we formed a close association as far as Suzuki Competition vehicles were concerned. This encounter also led to me visiting Pikes Peak, and subsequently developing Race to the Sky.  Most of my competition vehicles from this time were Suzukis, and I have the greatest respect for this manufacturer.

In recent years I have gained a lot of satisfaction from competing in the N.Z Production Car series with a Mitsubishi Evolution 9 RS. Now, I have the opportunity to fulfil a lifelong wish to compete with a Ford. For the 2011-2012 season I am campaigning a brand new Ford Focus RS in the Production Series.

Ever since importing one of these cars early this year, I have been most impressed. This car is everything you need in a high performance road car. It has power to burn (163 mph top speed!), it handles like a gem, all in a very affordable package. The Focus RS is claimed to have been the fastest car ever around the Ford Proving Ground in Germany, even faster than the Ford GT.
